Spalten Problem Solving Methodology in the Product Development

Product development is characterised by numerous problems, for which at the time of their appearance there are often no solutions. In this context the entire product development process as well as its individual phases can be considered as a problem. The required transferring of the actual condition into the desired target condition depends on various influencing factors such as type of problem, situation, time, person, information, complexity and extent. This leads to different degrees of complexity as far as problems and their solutions are concerned. These problems are to be dealt with using the SPALTEN methodology in order to realise the phases of product development as well as the overall aim in the form of a marketable product.
