Establishment and Validation of the Subway Piston Wind Model with Dynamic Mesh Method

In this paper,the subway piston wind model was established with dynamic mesh method using the software Fluent 6.3.16.In this model,the experiment facility with the scale of 1∶20 presented in Kim JY's paper was taken as the physical model.With this model,the dynamic field distributions of the pressure and velocity were simulated when the train passed the tunnel with a certain kind of moving rules.Compared with the experimental and simulation data in Kim JY's paper,the simulation results of the presented model agreed well with the experimental data.The average errors of the pressure coefficient and velocity coefficient could be controlled within 8.0% and 11.7%,respectively.These results indicated that the presented model in this paper could accurately predict the pressure and velocity fields brought by the subway piston wind.
