An OFDM-UWB Scheme with Adaptive Carrier Selection and Power Allocation

An adaptive OFDM-UWB transceiver scheme with carrier selection and power allocation is proposed to combat frequency selective fading in ultra-wideband (UWB) channels. The adaptive carrier selection strategy is presented and an optimal power allocation algorithm with Lagrange multiplier method is derived. Simulations have been done to verify the performance of the proposed scheme with typical UWB channel models. Simulation results suggest that good performance can be achieved with the proposed scheme
