Initial Analysis on the Appliance of Distributed Computing

Distributed computing is becoming more and more mature,which could utilize resources on the Internet adequately,and deal with the tasks need huge computing ability.This paper introduced the definition and principle of distributed computing briefly.In order to understand the appliance of distributed computing deeply,some mature appliances have been listed,including Grid,Cloud,and volunteer computing.The characters of distributed computing are illustrated by comparing those applications.
