Method of Fault Analysis on Microgrid With Distributed Generation Based on V/f Control Strategy

The fault analysis of microgrid in grid-connected and islanded mode is the important basis of building protection.For the research gap of fault analysis in isolated microgrid which consisted of inverter interfaced distributed generations(DG),this paper proposes a fault analysis method for the microgrid containing V/f control DG.The control characteristic of DG is analyzed and the DG equivalent model is derived with taking the influence of control strategy into account.The fault transient characteristic of DG is analyzed with the microgrid model consisted of V/f control DG built in PSCAD/EMTDC.Furthermore,the paper builds the fault analysis equations with the above equivalent model and an analytical method is proposed for the microgrid fault analysis.At last,test results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed method.
