This chapter emphasizes the varied usage of internet networks, and HTTP and TCP port. Robert woke up in the morning and a driver dropped him to the office of Kline Networks. He was escorted to his cabin by receptionist Michael where he met Miguel who told him what he was supposed to do. Robert spent several hours installing software, tweaking settings, and downloading files. He gathered from the various error messages that Miguel was behind some kind of frequently blocked proxy which is why he had asked him to use Blue onion-routed Internet access. Soon, he had gathered his reverse engineering tools and found a few websites that would were useful. After configuring his mail client according to the instructions in his packet, he found an email from his father containing the list of competitive poker sites whose clients he wanted to analyze. He then downloaded each of the client installers from its site. Robert had gone through the installers for each of the poker programs. He thought they have to have some anti-cheating measures, for it must mean that those measures were only in place while the poker client was running. The end result clearly meant a lot more analysis work on his part.
