Analysis of Stray Current Under Track To Earth Insulation Defect in Urban Mass Transit

Abstract Based on the finite element method, Finite cell model of the stray current transmission net was established, and the mathematical expression of track potential, track current and stray current was proposed in the DC traction power system. And the analysis model of track to earth insulation defect was built. Simulated and analyzed the stray current distribution under track to earth insulation well and defect. Analysis shows that stray current is almost leaked out the point after insulation defect occur, and the total amount of stray current and the maximum value of track to earth potential will be increased. current and potential are effected by insulation defect.
