Theorizing information for information science

Les sciences de l'information disposent-elles d'une theorie de l'information ? L'A. examine l'existence et le developpement d'une theorie de l'information en sciences de l'information en repondant successivement aux questions suivantes : Que pouvons-nous retenir de l'histoire des examens de l'information en sciences de l'information ? Quels outils, cartes, guides, enquetes, sont actuellement disponibles pour elaborer notre comprehension de ces questions ? Y-a-t-il un developpement parallele de la recherche sur la theorie de l'information en dehors des sciences de l'information qui nous soit utile ? Existe-t-il une vision de l'information qui prevale au sein des sciences de l'information ? Que pouvons-nous dire des problemes de mesure, de signification et de desinformation ? Enfin quels sont les autres travaux actuels pertinents permettant d'aider au developpement d'une theorie de l'information en sciences de l'information ?
