Fuzzy Adaptive Transmission Range based Power Aware Location Aided Routing

Energy efficiency is a major issue of concern in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) as mobile nodes rely on batteries, which are limited source of power, and in several environments, it is quite unwieldy task to replace or renew them. Consideration of energy efficiency is very important in the design of routing protocols for MANETs. A cross-layer design approach is often used in designing energy efficient routing protocols. In this paper, a fuzzy adaptive transmission range at MAC layer and fuzzy threshold based power aware routing at network layer are used to design an energy efficient routing protocol implemented for Location Aided Routing (LAR). It is called Fuzzy Adaptive Transmission Range Based Power Aware Location
