Cranial Nerve Palsies in Otitis Media: the Syndorome of the Posterior Fossa

THE purpose of this paper is to record four cases in which paralysis of the lower three or four cranial nerves has resulted from otitis media. Two of these cases were shown before the Neurological Section of the Royal Society of Medicine in 1922. One had an affection of the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth nerves on one side; in the other the seventh nerve also was involved.
