Opportunities and issues relating to middleware technologies for context-aware services. Part 2

For pt.1 see ibid., p.2405-9 (2003). The potential for new services in a ubiquitous computing environment has attracted much attention from both the business and technical perspectives. This paper provides an overview of the opportunities for providing new services and discusses the requirements of middleware technologies. During this year we have clarified user-centric requirements and have studied corresponding technologies from a trans-disciplinary science and technology viewpoint.
