Application of genetic algorithm in the design of the electromagnetic shielding

Based on the basic propagation theory, the genetic algorithm is used in the design of the multilayered composite materials by means of the existing multilayered planar composite electromagnetic shielding materials model. With this method, different shielding materials of every layer can be achieved under the circumstances of the prespecified shielding effectiveness (SE), different incident angles and the prespecified band of frequencies. Finally the method is simulated, the result has demonstrated the validity of the method, thus providing an effective method for the design of the multilayered composite shielding materials.
