In the sailing race of Olympic Games, it takes the longest time in the leg of the Windward and the rank of first reaching the mark1 is quite important, which mostly determines whether the team wins or fails in this round. Good skill of the trimming sail during the leg of the windward is based on the deep knowledge of aerodynamic property of the sail. The article studies the aerodynamic property of the sail of Olympic Games with the Numerical Simulation method. The study shows that in the leg of the Windward the main method of competitors attacking and defending each other is to trimming the sail based on the impact of factors on the aerodynamic of sail, which are mast, the angle of attack, angle of the pitch of the sail, camber of the sail and so on. Therefore, if the sailboat would be the same tack or not the overlap, it's a good method of obtaining an advantageous position to frequently trimming sails to influence the motion of other sailing boats by using the interactional sail shadow and air turbulent flow. This paper has contributed to the breakthrough of zero medal in Olympic sailing competition based on the numerical simulation method.
