Simulation of Reactive Power Compensation for Electronic arc Furnace Based on TCR_TSC

During operation,the electronic arc furnace(EAF) features low power factor,rapid fluctuations in reactive power,large load changes,causing a large amount of high-order harmonic current and voltage distortion,therefore exerting negative impacts on the grid by seriously affecting the power quality and resulting in a lot of energy consumption and negative impacts on the industrial output and quality.Through an analysis of the electrical properties of the operating of EAF,an SVC reactive power compensation device of the TCR_TSC type is adopted to filter the harmonics.The MATLAB/Simulink simulation results of the device suggest that the device has good filtering effect.
