Establishment of Model for Sand and Finite Element Analysis

Based on the conventional triaxial experiments for sand,the elastoplastic constitutive model of sand is built up through the numerical method of modeling the constitutive law for rock and soil. In order to put the model into practical application,the elastoplastic matrix is derived for finite element analysis,and the finite element program of axial symmetry is compiled,in which the constitutive model is inserted. The deformations under three stress paths have been calculated. By comparing the results for experiments and computations,the effectiveness of this numerical method for modeling constitutive law has been verified.
