The rotational speed estimation method comprises the following steps: acquiring a gear meshing vibration signal; calculating the Wigner-Ville distribution and the wavelet scale spectrum of the gear meshing vibration signal; achieving time-frequency fusion of the Wigner-Ville distribution and the wavelet scale spectrum to obtain the time-frequency fusion distribution; according to the time-frequency fusion distribution, determining the gear meshing frequency curve; according to the gear meshing frequency curve and the number of gears of a driving wheel, determining the rotational speed curve of the driving wheel.
