Independence / cooperative remote control support system for aerial photographing

This chapter presents the development of two types of inclinometer using an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor, and installed them to an R/C aircraft, and carried out the roll control experiments. The independence/cooperative remote control support system ease aerial photographing using an R/C (Radio Control) aircraft. Sensing systems consisted of an acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor to measure the roll angle of an R/C aircraft have been used for this control system. Using this system, stabilization of rolling has been succeeded. When a pilot wishes to maneuver the R/C aircraft or the independent control is out of control, the pilot can maneuver the R/C aircraft with normal control procedure, and the independent control is easily to be reentered. This system will be useful as the efficient and cheap remote control support system for aerial photographing, an environmental investigation, a disaster investigation, and so on.
