Flashover studies on HVDC bushings-development of DK model for non-condenser bushings

A new laboratory model, known as the didactically kindred (DK) model, for pollution studies on a noncondenser type transformer bushing is developed. The model is validated by carrying out laboratory tests on an actual bushing and on the model for initial potential distribution, and the results are reported. The patterns of dryband formation on both insulator and model are also observed and reported. Scintillation and flashover studies are also reported.<<ETX>>
