The RO(Reverse Osmosis) desalination plants are energy intensive and require fine tuned components. Therefore, a good control design is necessary to maintain water production costs at acceptable level and to elevate the plant availability, particularly in legions with high water scarcity. Therefore, the advanced techniques of control will be useful for efficiency of RO plant. Here, the controller model proposed by is utilized to design a robust improved PID controller. Therefore, a robust control of RO plant is studied utilizing the new structure of PID controller with nonlinear gain in this paper. This structure is composed with new type of integral control action. The conventional PID controller is limited because of its poor performance due to actuator saturation and nonlinear effects. In order to resolve these problems, a novel control scheme is proposed by integrating improved integral control and nonlinear gain. The performance and stability of newly proposed PID technique is compared with those of conventional ones via simulation in terms of Bode plot, etc.
