Regional distributed system for medical emergency assistance

In this paper we describe an integrated mobile system applicable in emergency medicine, able to provide tele-healthcare services and remote transfer of medical data in order to ensure triage, early accurate diagnosis and treatment in case of major trauma. The main goal of the project is to develop tools for performance enhancement of emergency medical services, based on the FAST (focused assessment with sonography for trauma) concept, and advanced IC technologies.
