Theoretical secrets for intelligent software

The quality of microcomputer software may well determine the power of computers in promoting children's intellectual development. The tragedy of this statement is apparent when one looks at the current range of software and its purposes. A recent survey ("My Favorite Software," 1983) polled 2,000 computer-using teachers and administrators with this question: What are your favorite educational software programs? The result reflects the interests of the nation's educators and the state of available software.
