A FUZZY LOGIC CONTROL APPROACH OF A MOTOR DRIVE WITH PIC MICROCONTROLLER

The paper describes a speed control system based on a fuzzy logic approach, integrated with a simple and effective adaptive algorithm. The proposed control scheme can be usefully applied to any electrical motor drive with decoupled torque and flux control. An experimental prototype, based on a DC motor drive, has been realized using a mixed structure composed of recently introduced fuzzy logic chips and conventional digital circuits.
