Semantically described services in the Enterprise Application Integration

Supporting the everyday management and working processes of an organization is hard to imagine without software systems today. Enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), computer aided engineering (CAE), computer aided design (CAD), etc. systems can be found everywhere in working processes of organizations. Although these systems provide a lot of information they aren't able to satisfy the emerging need for collaborating with other systems. Enterprise application integration (EAI) can solve this problem. In this paper we give an example how to increase the effectiveness of integration by applying semantically described services. A working demo example will also be introduced which were designed and developed at our department.
