Semi-anechoic chamber power measurements of a WSN transceiver for smart city concept validation

This paper presents the measuring of the transmission power of the WSN JN5148 transceiver, operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band (Industrial Scientific and Medical). The measurements have been conducted in a semi-anechoic chamber and were directed at identifying the transmission power and at developing the radiation diagram. The results obtained during the tests have revealed the presence of certain irregularities in the radiation diagram. Thus, when placing the modules, it is recommended to avoid angles where the transmission power is low, in order to reach a high performance level.
