An intelligent gateway comprises a user location obtaining unit and an intelligent control unit, a habit control order table is stored in the intelligent gateway, and identity information of a domestic consumer and corresponding habit control orders are stored in the habit control order table. The user location obtaining unit is used for obtaining the user location information of the domestic consumer of an intelligent housing system, and judges whether the current location of the domestic consumer reaches a preset location. The intelligent control unit is used for controlling the intelligent gateway to control corresponding household appliances to execute corresponding operations according to the corresponding habit control orders of the habit control order table when the domestic consumer reaches the preset location. The intelligent housing system can automatically learn the habit of the user and intelligently controls the household appliances in the house of the user according to the settings and the location of the user.
