Neue Technologien in der Psychotherapie

Die fruhen Forschungen und die damit verbundene Euphorie uber eine mogliche Computerisierung des psychotherapeutischen Gesprachs haben sich als unrealistisch herausgestellt. Jedoch hat es besonders in den letzten 10 Jahren eine rasante Entwicklung von Interventionen gegeben, welche den Computer als Werkzeug des Therapeuten sinnvoll nutzen. Diese sog. »computergestutzte Psychotherapie« hat bereits vielfaltige Anwendungsbereiche erschlossen. Tatsachlich sind die Grenzen zwischen der traditionellen und der computergestutzten Therapie durchlassig geworden, denn viele Therapeuten kommunizieren bereits mit ihren Patienten per E-Mail, und die Moglichkeiten einer internetbasierten Video-Telefonie werden sicherlich auf Dauer nicht ungenutzt bleiben. Es gibt derzeit eine Reihe von Softwareprogrammen, welche Patienten auf ihrem Computer zuhause installieren konnen, um damit unter Supervision eines Therapeuten selbststandig an der Verbesserung ihrer Symptomatik zu arbeiten. Interessant sind auch therapeutische Programme fur den Taschencomputer (z. B. den Palm), da diese sogar in den symptomauslosenden Situationen auserhalb des Therapieraumes und der eigenen Wohnung zur Verfugung stehen und damit als eine Art therapeutischer Begleiter fungieren konnen.
