Some wing plates were installed on the train.The flow structure was analyzed and aerodynamic resistance was computed through 3D viscid N-S equations with the Κ-e turbulence model for different running speed with/without wing plate.The mean of aerodynamic resistance coefficients of each wing plating was used as aerodynamic resistance coefficient of the wing plate.The braking decelerations were computed at different running speed.The braking ability of wing plate is increased when the running speed is rising.The braking deceleration reaches-0.139 m/s2 and-0.248 m/s2 when the train is running at speed of 300 km/h and 400 km/h respectively.The wing plate can be used as one of the auxiliary brakes for high-speed train.
