Field oriented control of 6/4 SRM for torque ripple minimiaztion

This paper introduces a new control mechanism for the 6/4 switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) which is the Field Oriented Control (FOC). The switched reluctance motor usually controlled with power converters, inverters or other power electronics circuit. This paper aims to build a 6/4 SRM under the control of FOC driver circuit and compare the results obtained with other driver circuit to show the contribution of FOC in minimization the ripple in the output torque of the SRM motor. All the simulation results will be presented and modeled using MATLAB/Simulink software to verify the theoretical analysis.
