Chapter Four – Deliverables

This chapter speaks about piping deliverables. Piping deliverables are primarily the drawings required for construction. It is incumbent upon the piping lead to establish the deliverables that will be required for the project prior to beginning work on the designs. Knowing the deliverables brings focus to the piping effort, without which any attempts at planning and estimating would be purely speculative and highly likely to be inaccurate. Projects that fail to identify the deliverables at the beginning run a risk of exceeding both budget and schedule due to an inability to accurately measure progress and forecast completion dates without this information.
