Risk assessment of concentrating solar power based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation

Abstract With the advancement in carbon emission reduction and the development of low carbon power system, solar thermal power technology has become a new hot issue of renewable energy in energy engineering. For the present situation of concentrating solar power (CSP) in China, this paper establishes the risk assessment index system of CSP. Then a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is applied to evaluate the risk of CSP in China, and some suggestions of propelling CSP are put forward according to the evaluation results. At the end of this paper, evaluation results show that the risk assessment evaluation index system is reasonable and the results are consistent with the reality. Some decision-making suggestions for the investment of CSP in China are also investigated.
