The design and simulation of a multi-beam forming network using 4 × 4 Butler matrix for terminal applications in future 5G is presented. In this design, all components, operating around 30GHz, are implemented on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) using the package, HFSS. The area of the designed Butler matrix is 55.62 × 28.4mm2. The reflection and coupling levels with broad bandwidth of each port are obtained.
