Analysis Of Cooler Floating Head Bolt Broken and Improvement Measures

Half the number of bolts in floating head of deethanizer overhead cooler were brittle fractured. Through visual inspection, metallographic examination and analysis of chemical compositions and process conditions, causes of floating head bolt broken were found and corresponding measures were adopted, obtaining good result.
