Dc-dc converter control circuit and image display device using the samr and driving method thereof

The present invention relates to a DC-DC converter control circuit, which ensures circuit stability when a light load is applied to the DC-DC converter and varies an on-off duty ratio of a burst mode according to the load so as to improve driving efficiency, an image display device using the DC-DC converter control circuit, and a method of driving the image display device. The DC-DC converter control circuit comprises a detecting unit for detecting a current amount and a voltage at an output terminal of the DC-DC converter, generating a differential voltage according to the detected voltage, and outputting the differential voltage; a comparing unit for comparing the differential voltage from the detecting unit with a triangular or saw-tooth reference voltage to generate a duty signal; and a converter control unit for generating an on/off control signal corresponding to a duty ratio of the duty signal and supplying the generated signal to the DC-DC converter in order to control the on/off operation of the DC-DC converter.
