Implementation of sign detection in RNS using mixed radix representation

In Residue Number Systems (RNS) sign detection is relatively difficult compared to weighted number systems. We present structures for sign detection in RNS based on the mixed radix conversion (MRC) algorithm. The method is well suited for integration in RNS-to-binary converters based on the MRC to represent signed numbers in twos complement notation.
