An embodiment of the invention relates to a method and a device for address conflict processing. The method for the address conflict processing comprises the steps that a media access control (MAC) address of an associated first node and a first auxiliary identification are obtained; an MAC frame carrying the first auxiliary identification is received; when the fact that the MAC frame is sent from a second node is confirmed, auxiliary identification conflict report information is sent to the first node. According to the method and the device for the address conflict processing, the problem that the auxiliary identification is adopted to replace auxiliary identification conflicts of an access point (AP) produced in an MAC compression method in the MAC address can be found and resolved.
