An EZBC based approach for polarimetric SAR data compression

This paper presents a method for compressing Polarimetric SAR data based on EZBC which assigns different bit rates for background and foreground regions. First the Polarimetric SAR data would be segmented using HAα method and then based on desired region and background regions, the whole image would be compressed with two different bit rates. The results show that the ROI can be recovered with high quality and background can be compressed respect to desired bit rate and quality.
