SDPQ classification based on maximum similarity principle of S-transform MTFM

The S-transformed module time-frequency matrix exactly contains detailed characteristics of short-duration power quality disturbance (SDPQD). The standard S-transformed module time-frequency matrix (MTFM) of different ideal disturbance compares with which of the tested disturbance signals. According to the maximum similarity principle (MSP), the practical tested PQ disturbances are classified into different types exactly. Using the S-transformed results directly, the proposed classifying scheme is superior with simple principium and low calculating cost. The simulation results show that the proposed method is effective in classifying SDPQD and possesses better noise proof ability.
