노후주거지역 유휴공간 활용 사례 연구

Recently, many dead space renovation cases has been seen. In urban revitalization point, dead space renovation has new possibility. It is very useful to offer a place for residents in decayed area which they can get together, socialize and plan to do something. Dead spaces can be used for it, and not only improve environment but also make community center with the lowest cost. The purpose of this study is offering the new direction of dead space renovation in aspect of urban revitalization. This study is carried out through a participant observation focusing on the case of Nosong-dong Center in Jeonju. The result is below. The center which dead space was renovated has the effect on residents' organizing and learng. Those have been shown from the experience, planning and running the center. It is in need for dead space renovation to find new way of making, planning and running direction in order to improve quality of residents' life more than improving environment or passive support just. Moreover, federal and local government should support pushfully so that the dead space renovation can develop various programs which are more closely connected with residents' life.
