A fast color image encryption scheme using one-time S-Boxes based on complex chaotic system and random noise

Abstract A fast color image encryption scheme based on one-time S-Box is proposed. Three S-Boxes are generated by a complex chaotic system, whose initial values and parameter are dependent on both the random noise and the plain image. Each S-box randomly takes turns to encrypt one of the color components in each pixel adhering to the switching sequence, which is also generated by the complex chaotic system. Some measures are taken to improve the encryption and decryption speed. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the scheme, so it is suitable for color image encryption.
