FEA Modal Analysis and Testing of Can Coiler

The 3D model of a can coiler was established with Pro/E,and then a free modal analysis of the can coiler was carried out with ANSYS code.Through the analysis,the inherent frequency and mode shapes of first 6 order modes were obtained respectively.The free modes of the can coiler were verified by testing with CRAS system.Comparison shows that the results of FEA estimation are in good agreement with those of testing.
