Comments on least-square inverse polynomials and a counterexample for Jury's conjecture

The letter presents a counterexample to the conjecture of Jury that the stabilisation technique of Shanks based on the least-square inverse of the denominator polynomial of a filter function may be valid if the original polynomial and the least-square inverse are of the same degree; this disproves the Jury conjecture in general.
