A method to locate the region of EEM serials number

The serials number of an Electric Energy Meter(EEM) can uniquely identify one EEM.Current,few people focus on the research on the image of the serials number.This paper has succeeded in using one method to locate the region of the serials number.In the image process of the EEM,many similar region like the serials number appear on,so it is hard to distinguish;combined with the characteristic of the serials number region,using the image edge detection,mathematical morphology method and region limited method,a good result have been obtained.
