HONG KONG AIRPORT RAILWAY WESTERN IMMERSED TUBE - DESIGN

The Western Immersed Tube (WIT) carries the new Airport Railway under Hong Kong Harbour. It has a total length of 1260m made up of 10 immersed tube tunnel units each 126m long. Details are given of the design of the tunnel and the progress of the contract which was let as a design and build contract.
