The present invention provides an access control method for a remote terminal in D2D communications, and a related apparatus. The access control method for a remote terminal in D2D communications comprises: when receiving a connection request sent by a remote terminal, a relay terminal detects state and capability information of the relay terminal; determine, according to the state and capability information, whether the relay terminal can perform resource scheduling and access control on the remote terminal, so as to obtain a capability identifier of the relay terminal; and report the capability identifier to a base station, so that the base station determines, according to the capability identifier and use condition of communication resources of the base station, a device for performing resource scheduling and access control on the remote terminal. The technical solution of the present invention effectively resolves the access control problem and the resource scheduling problem when a connection is established between a remote terminal and a relay terminal, and it is ensured that the remote terminal and the relay terminal can perform D2D communication.
