COPPER(II) COORDINATION COMPOUNDS : CLASSIFICATION AND ANALYSIS OF CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC AND STRUCTURAL DATA IV. TRIMERIC AND OLIGOMERIC COMPOUNDS

Abstract This review summarizes data for over two hundred and thirty trimeric and oligomeric copper(II) coordination compounds. Included are trimeric (73), tetrameric (135), pentameric (5), hex-americ (12), octameric (5), nonameric (2) and even dodecameric (1) derivatives. In most complexes, the copper(II) is four-, five-and six-coordinate. The structures are discussed in terms of the coordination about the copper(II) atoms, and correlation's are drawn between donor atom, bond length and interbond angles. There are several examples of distortion isomerism.
