Improve dtc performance for IPMSM by fuzzy-controller and auto-tuning PI compensator

To improve the outputting performance of conventional direct torque control (DTC) system for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), a new synthesizing DTC method was presented in this paper, which adopted fuzzy controller and auto-tuning proportional-integral (PI) compensator to reduce the flux and torque ripples. The improvement of motor performance by proposed schemes was analyzed in detail. In compared with conventional DTC, The simulation results proved that the PI estimator could track the stator resistance and diminish the influence of flux and torque due to the stator resistance change, the ripples of the flux and the torque were reduced greatly by compensator and fuzzy controller, and the static and dynamic performance of the system was improved, especially strengthened tracking ability and robustness of the system. So the method was very effective and feasible.
