A Method to Determine Step-Shaped Electricity Consumption Levels for Residential Area Based on Variable-Density Clustering

There are a certain anthropogenic factors and arbitrariness during the determination of residential step-shaped electricity consumption levels in residential area, which is the base for drafting step-shaped electricity rate in residential areas. For this reason,a synthetical method to draft step-shaped electricity consumption levels in residential area, which is based on variable-density clustering,is proposed.Firstly, the residential consumers is preliminarily classified by variable-density cluster analysis based on monthly average electricity consumption of each family, which is decided according to the density of family numbers in the neighborhood of monthly average electricity consumption of the families;then the estimation of household appliances and probabilistic method are utilized to decide the step-shaped electricity consumption in each step and corresponding rate of coverage, and taking them as constraints the preliminary classifications by cluster analysis are merged to construct selectable scheme for each step-shaped electricity consumption;finally, optimal decision-making models for step-shaped electricity consumption in all steps are built, and the synthesis optimum electricity consumption level in each step is chosen from these schemes. The correctness and reasonableness of the proposed method are verified by practical cases.
