Quality evaluation of high voltage storage capacitor through DC partial discharge measurement

Evaluation of reliability and stability has been urgently demanded along with high voltage storage capacitors widely used. Partial discharge is a good way to measure capacitors working under DC condition. After filtering some disturbance during experiments, two parameters, the discharge quantity and number, reflect the change trend well with the increase of work-time and the insulation difference between new and old capacitor. Hence, it is feasible to evaluate high voltage storage capacitor by discharge quantity and number.
