APT Coarse Tracking CCD Camera as Free Space Laser Communication System

Acquisition,pointing and tracking are important processes in a free space laser communication system.For a coarse tracking subsystem,coarse tracking CCD camera was made to acquire the beacon laser.Optical integrated time,programable gain and image brightness offset are set in real-time by the series command in the array CCD TC237B.The digital image is output through Camera Link interface.The camera can choose its driving mode by the command.When the region-of-interest(ROI) drive timing with 256×256 pixel output is used,the frame rate can reach 100 frames per second and meet the servo bandwidth.
