Network interface of controlling lock operation in accordance with axi protocol, packet data communication on-chip interconnect system of including the network interface, and method of operating the network interface

A network interface for controlling lock operation according to an AXI(Advanced eXtensible Interface) protocol, a packet data communication on-chip interconnect system including the network interface, and a method for operating the network interface are provided to enable a state controller to control that a lock sequence, received from the second master IP, is temporally stored in a buffer and transmitted to the slave IP, thereby improving the overall traffic performance of an NoC and throughput. A network interface(500) comprises the followings: a state controller(510) which monitors transaction between a slave IP and one or more master IPs(Internet Protocols) connected through an NoC(Network on chip) backbone; and a buffer(520) which temporally stores data burst inputted from the master IPs. The state controller(510) controls that a lock sequence, received from the second master IP, is temporally stored in the buffer(520) if the lock sequence is received from the second master IP in a state that the slave IP performs transaction with the first master IP and controls that the lock sequence, temporally stored in the buffer(520), is transmitted to the slave IP if the transaction with the first master IP is terminated.
